19th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival

CARTE BLANCHE a Dimitri Eipides

   A Dimitri Eipides, l'uomo che ha istituito il Festival del documentario di Salonicco nel 1999 e diretto da allora fino al 2016, viene data carta bianca al 19 ° Thessaloniki Documentary Festival per selezionare 10 documentari che saranno proiettati nell’edizione di quest'anno.

 Il festival onora così una persona speciale che ha dedicato al cinema molti decenni; "Un padrino del cinema significativo", come il regista Jim Jarmusch ha dichiarato durante la sua partecipazione alla 54 ° TIFF.

 Dimitri Eipides ha selezionato 10 documentari di recente produzione (2005-2013), che sono stati presentati nelle precedenti edizioni del festival. Questi film toccano vari aspetti della realtà umana, simile a un enorme puzzle che mette insieme le immagini del nostro mondo, allora come oggi.

19th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival

3-12 March, 2017 

Renowned Greek festival programmer Dimitri Eipides, the man who established the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival in 1999 and directed it ever since until 2016, is given a carte blanche at the19th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival to select 10 documentaries that will be screened in this year's event.

The festival thus honours a special person that has been devoted to cinema for many decades; a godfather of interesting cinema, as the director Jim Jarmusch put it during his attendance at the 54th TIFF.

Dimitri Eipides selected 10 documentaries of recent production (2005-2013) that have been presented in previous festival editions. These films touch upon various aspects of human reality, resembling a huge puzzle that brings together images of our world, then and now.
